As she nestles into crook of the tree, the slightly rough bark pressing into her soft skin, sounds of the river gently trickling below dancing its way into her inner ear, the smell of summer in the air and the cornucopia of colours bombarding her.

All these senses that she experiences merge into one overwhelming feeling of euphoria and utter serenity. Serenity in the true sense of the word. In this instance, she feels the emotion build until she can't repress the tears any longer. Why bother to repress? Why not let these tears flow, these tears born of pure elation, why not let these tears flow back to the very essence of what makes this beautiful world and all the life that resides here possible.

As the tears roll from her cheek and fall down on their way to be reunited with the flow of the river below, for one moment, she realises that all truly is well with the world.

Rendered in poser pro 2010 ...and yes, after tests i can confirm that 64 bit firefly is slightly faster at rendering than the 32bit one smile

stunning man! i really like this one a lot. thats a great shot to, coming down from the top like that.

just curious, did you use dof on this one? it looks like the ground below is slightly blurred a bit compared to the girl and branch. it's nothing i'm picking about, it looks good actually.

and you said poser pro 2010 huh? is it just the beta version or is the full release already out? i've been really curious about it and you're the first person i've heard mention actually using it around here so far.

actually, one little thing this could use and it's just me being picky, but maybe some extra shadowing on the branch from the girl. it would just give a little more sense of where she's actually at on the surface of it if that makes sense. because looking at the upper body it would be hard for me to tell if she's a little bit elevated off the branch or flat on it. i just hate to be so critical lol.

great job all around though. you plan on doing another take with this one?

Aye, I added dof in photoshop with dofpro.

Yup poser pro is out of beta, the final was released about 3 days ago and upped here on Friday.

If you scroll down to the bottom you'll see links to hotfile that were added earlier by Apextwins.

I agree about the shadows ...thought i'd get away with it but, theres no getting past your keen eye though lols.
The lights coming in from the top left so it actually falls on a large portion of the trunk and her arms are sort of raised off the trunk. The only part of her upper body that touches the trunk is her hands and the top of her back along the shoulders which allows a lot of light onto the trunk.
So the light is as it would be although, like i said, i agree that it would look better with more shadow.
One way i could have gotten around it is to increase max distance on the ambient occlusion node of the trunk to simulate deeper shadows under her upper body. But i'm onto the next project already now lols so i guess i'll be leaving it as it is^^

Once again ..big thanks for your detailed comments, I appreciate your keen eye and take all what you say into consideration, in mind for my future projects. Cheers!!

you sir, have just made my day. thanks a million.

and you're most welcome for the comments. i hate to be critical about things sometimes and in no way am i pro with how things should be since every work is the individuals own piece so there's really no right or wrong way to do your art. just glad i could help. keep 'em coming!

edit = by the way, does dof pro come with good tutorials? i haven't tried it yet and i haven't ever tried adding dof via photoshop, so i was pretty curious as to what is involved with doing it in photoshop.

First time round i just followed a tut on the official forums of dofpro ...from then on its been easy to use.

The first tut is fine for starters, the second one deals with using it in animation.

So long as you know how to render a zdepth pass its a total doddle. I expect vray will allow you to do one easy enough. With poser i use advanced render settings python plugin from shaderworks at RDNA to get my zdepth pass.

Vue's easy cause it already has the zdepth feature built in.

I would gladly up dofpro and the plugin for poser if you like ..just let us know and i'll sort it.
